Family Information
Father's Name: The apprentice's father, given as Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial.
Father's Occupation: The occupation of the apprentice's father.
Mother's Name: The apprentice's mother, given as Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial.
Mother's Occupation: The occupation of the apprentice's mother.
Christ's Hospital Record
Date Admitted: Date apprentice was admitted to Christ's Hospital, given as Year-Month-Day.
Age at Admittance: Age of the apprentice when admitted to Christ's Hospital.
Date of Birth: The apprentice's date of birth, given as Year-Month-Day.
Date of Baptism: The apprentice's date of baptism, given as Year-Month-Day.
Date When Clothed: The date when the apprentice was first clothed at Christ's Hospital.
Parish/Town Admitted From: The apprentice's home parish/town.
Admittance Requested By: The person who requested that the apprentice be admitted into Christ's Hospital.
Requester's Relationship to Apprentice: The relationship of the person requesting the apprentice's admittance into Christ's Hospital.
Date of Apprenticeship: Date when the apprentice was admitted to Christ's Hospital.
Date of Discharge: Date when the apprentice was discharged from Christ's Hospital.
Governor who Presented Apprentice: The governor who presented the apprentice to the school. The presenting governor generally paid for the apprentice's education at Christ's Hospital.
Governor's Title: The title of the governor who presented the apprentice for admittance.
Governor's Notes: Any notes attached to the record of the presenting governor.
Person Requesting Apprentice's Admittance: The person who requested that the apprentice be admitted into Christ's Hospital. Generally, this was a family member or a board member.
Requester's Occupation: The occupation of the person who requested the apprentice's admittance to Christ's Hospital.
Requester's Notes: Any notes attached to the record of the person who requested the apprentice's admittance.
Discharge Information
Destination Region: Region of the world that the apprentice was sent to.
Destination Colony: Colony the apprentice was sent to.
Destination Town: Town the apprentice was sent to.
Ship Name: Ship the apprentice was sent on.
Master's Name: The apprentice's master, given as Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial.
Master's Title: The title of the apprentice's master (Major, Colonel, Lady, etc.)
Master's Occupation: The occupation of the apprentice's master.
Master's Colony of Residence: The colony of residence of the apprentice's master.
Master's Town of Residence: The town of residence of the apprentice's master.
Person Discharged to: The person the apprentice was discharged to. In many cases, there were multiple entries for this field.
Person's Occupation: The occupation of the person to whom the apprentice was discharged.
Person's Notes: Any notes attached to the record of the person the apprentice was discharged to.
Company Apprenticed to: The company the apprentice was apprenticed to. Both the Virginia Company and the Hudson's Bay Company apprenticed children from Christ's Hospital.
